How to find the URL of a Facebook post

Via the Facebook App:

 

  • Open the Facebook app on your mobile device.
  • Navigate to the Facebook page where the post is located.
  • Scroll through the “Posts” section to find the post you want to share.
  • Tap the Share button located below the post.
  • Tap on “Copy Link”. The Facebook Post URL will now be copied to your device’s clipboard1.

Via a Web Browser:

 

  • Open your preferred web browser and go to facebook.com.
  • Search for the Facebook page where the post is located.
  • Scroll through the page’s posts to find the one you want to share.
  • Click on the post to open it.
  • Click on the timestamp of the post (e.g., “3 hours ago”). The Facebook Post URL will appear in the address bar of your web browser.
  • Copy it to your device’s clipboard

How to Repost an Instagram Post

Repost a post in the Instagram feed:

 

  • Open Instagram and select the photo you want to repost.
  • Click on the three dots at the top right and select “Copy share URL”.
  • Open a third-party app like “Repost for Instagram”.
  • Paste the copied URL and follow the instructions provided by the app to repost the photo.

  • Open Instagram and find the post you want to share.

How to find the URL of a Twitter Tweet

  • Open Twitter in your web browser or app.
  • Navigate to the tweet you want to share.
  • Each tweet has an icon that brings you to a Share menu. It looks like a rectangular box with an arrow pointing out of it.
  • Click that symbol to open the Share menu.

  • Tap the More icon in the top right corner of the post.
  • Tap Share via.
  • Tap Copy from the option menu that slides up.
  • Paste the URL in your phone’s browser.

Android:

 

  • Tap the More icon in the top right corner of the post.
  • Tap Share via.
  • Tap Copy to clipboard from the option menu that slides up.

How to Repost a LinkedIn post

Desktop:

 

  • Click Repost under the post you want to share.
  • From the dropdown, you can:
  1. Select Repost with your thoughts to repost with your comments.
  2. Select Repost to repost directly without being prompted to add any comments.
  • A repost successful confirmation message appears on the lower left of the homepage.
  • If you click Repost with your thoughts, the post pop-up window appears.
  • Enter your comments or use “@” to mention people, companies, or schools.
  • Click the dropdown next to your name.
  • In the Post settings pop-up window, select who you want to share the post under Who can see your post?, and click Done.
  • Click Post on the lower-right corner.
  • A repost successful confirmation message appears on the lower left of the homepage.

IOS:

 

  • Open the LinkedIn app on your smartphone.
  • Scroll to the post you want to repost.
  • Tap on the Share icon beneath the post.
  • In the new window, you can choose to share the post as it is, or add your own comments.

Android:

 

  • Launch the LinkedIn app on your phone.
  • Navigate to the post you would like to repost.
  • Tap on the Repost under the post.
  • Choose whether to Repost with your thoughts or Repost.
  • If you choose Repost with your thoughts, write your caption and tap on Post at the top-right corner

How to find the URL of a Tik Tok Video

Desktop:

 

  • Navigate to the TikTok website in a browser and sign in to your account.
  • Click on the Profile icon in the top-right and select View Profile.
  • Choose the video you want the link for.
  • On the right of the screen, click Copy Link.
  • You will see confirmation that the link has been copied.

Mobile:

 

  • Open the TikTok app and find the video you want to share.
  • Tap on the Share icon beneath the video.
  • In the new window, tap on Copy Link.
  • The link to the video is now copied to your clipboard.

How to find the URL of a YouTube Video

Desktop:

 

  • Open your preferred Internet browser and head to the YouTube website.
  • Find and click the video whose URL you want to see.
  • The URL of the video is located in the address bar.

IOS:

 

  • Open the YouTube app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Go to the YouTube video you want to share.
  • Tap the Share icon. It’s the curved arrow below the video.
  • Tap Copy link. It’s the first icon on the Share menu.
  • The link to the video is now copied to your clipboard.

Android:

 

  • Open the YouTube mobile app.
  • Go to the YouTube video you want to share.
  • Tap the Share icon. It’s the curved arrow below the video.
  • Tap Copy link.
  • The link to the video is now copied to your clipboard.

How to find the URL of a Pinterest Pin

Desktop:

 

  • Log in to your Pinterest account.
  • Select the relevant pin (either from your own board or someone else’s).
  • Copy the URL from the address bar.

 

 IOS:

 

  • Open the Pinterest app and log into your account.
  • Open the Pin you want to share.
  • Tap the “Share” button (or the social network icon) in the bottom right corner.
  • In the “Send Pin” section, tap “Copy link”.


Android:

 

  • Open the Pinterest app and log into your account.
  • Open the Pin you want to share.
  • Tap the “Share” button in the bottom left corner.
    Scroll to “Copy link” and tap it.
